Mok District Cluster - This web page is a grouping for a cluster of hydropower construction projects in Mok (Moc / Mork) District of Xieng Khouang Province. Most are developed by Lao-based Phongsupthavy Group. Most of the output from these power plants is planned for export to Vietnam via a new 220 kV transmission line that is still under construction in 2024.
We don't have precise location coordinates for most of these projects so we are grouping them together and placing a group locator button on our map that links to this web page instead of placing individual location buttons.
Map below shows precise locations of the bigger Nam Mo 1 & 2 project sites that are also in Mok District and also developed by Phongsupthavy Group. Most of the smaller projects are located somewhere on this map but we aren't sure where yet.

Nam Mo 1 and 2 hydropower projects are part of the cluster of hydropower plants being developed by Phongsubthavy Group to sell electricity to Vietnam through a 220kV transmission line Nam Mo - Tuong Duong (Nghe An). The transmission lines are invested and constructed by Phongsubthavy Group for the section in Laos and Electricity of Viet Nam (EVN) for the section in Vietnam. The transmission line was originally scheduled for completion in 2022 but is still not complete on the Vietnamese side this April 2024.
