The Nam Nhone (also called Nam Nyon & Nam Nhon) hydropower project is located on the Nam Nyon (river) near Ban Panna and Ban Nam Yone villages in Bokeo Province of northern Lao PDR. The project is next to the Nam Nyon Waterfall which is an easy tourist attraction visit from Houay Xay town.

The project consists of a powerhouse, penstock and head pond as well as a diversion dam, reservoir and canal.

Nam Nhone hydropower plant is 3 MW rated capacity with 12 GWh potential annual output and has been in operation since 2011.

Nam Nhone Hydropower Project was the first Small Power Plant (SPP) project jointly developed by Lao and French private investors.

The project will supply the EdL grid in Bokeo Province.
