Houay Kapheu is also sometimes spelled Houay Kaphe.

The Houay Kapheu Dam Hydropower project is a 5 MW facility located near Ban Xiengmai, Lao Ngam District, Saravane Province, southern Lao PDR. This location is a little south of National Road 20 about half way between Pakse and Salavan.

The headworks of the Houay Kapheu Hydro Power Plant are located on Houay Kapheu (stream) which is a tributary of the Sedon (Xedon) river.

Houay Kapheu Power Sole Co. Ltd. seems to be the project developer and owner.

Andritz Compact Hydro was a supplier of equipment. Vientiane Automation and Solution Engineering contracted Andritz for supply, installation and commissioning of electro-mechanical equipment including two Pelton turbine units in 2017.

FM Construction Sole Co. Ltd. was involved in construction.

The plant's commercial operation was scheduled to start in 2020 but we aren't sure when the project went online.
