The Index below is an alphabetic listing of places in Chiang Khong, Thailand on the Hobo Map together with their grid coordinate positions on the map. The Index is to be used together with the Chiang Khong, Thailand Hobo Map and is not applicable to other maps or intended for other purposes. This Index is declared to be in the public domain - feel free to copy and print the Index or use it for electronic searches. The Chiang Khong Map that uses this index can be seen at hobomaps.com website. The Map is not yet in print form and not currently for sale. Last Update: August 2007 Chiang Khong is a town in northern Thailand located on the Mekong River across from Huay Xai, Laos. The town is not far from Chiang Rai, Thailand and is a busy transportation hub with a border crossing to Laos. The links to China and Vietnam are opening quickly as new border crossings open and roads improve. A bridge across the Mekong near here is planned.
